Protect your gardens and evergreens from heavy deer pressure. We install high-durability, low-visibility deer fencing and provide organic repellent treatments.
Deer fencing on Martha's Vineyard installs 7- to 8-foot black polypropylene mesh designed to be low-visibility from the house: deer require a 7-foot minimum to consistently stop jumping. Infinity Landscaping plans entries, gates, and corner posts; offers organic repellent treatments for un-fenced gardens; and integrates fencing with privacy screening when both are planned together.

What this page covers
High-visibility poly mesh fencing
We install 7.5-to-8-foot-tall black polypropylene mesh fencing. The high-strength material resists weathering and UV damage, and is virtually invisible against woodland backdrops, protecting your landscape views while keeping deer out.
Wooden post-and-rail integration
For areas requiring a traditional or rustic look, we integrate mesh fencing with wooden post-and-rail boundaries. This design satisfies local historic guidelines while providing a complete physical barrier against deer jumps.
Secure deer gates
Fencing is only as secure as its entry points. We build and install heavy-duty matching mesh gates and custom wooden gates equipped with self-closing hinges and secure latches, ensuring easy mower and garden access.
Organic repellent sprays
For properties without complete fencing, we provide seasonal organic deer spray programs. We apply a natural, bad-tasting repellent to evergreens, hydrangeas, and hostas, training deer to avoid feeding on your gardens.
Property Maintenance
Managing heavy deer pressure on the Vineyard
Martha's Vineyard is home to an exceptionally large white-tailed deer population, particularly in wooded, rural up-island areas like Chilmark and West Tisbury. Without physical protection, deer will quickly destroy landscape investments, stripping arborvitae, broadleaf evergreens, hostas, and hydrangeas down to bare wood during winter and spring.
Our deer protection services are tailored to local conditions. We design fencing paths that navigate mature trees and property lines with minimal visual impact, anchor the bottom of the mesh to prevent deer from pushing underneath, and construct secure gates for equipment access. For waterfront and open sites, we combine physical barriers with organic taste-repellent sprays to protect new plantings.

Frequently asked questions
A deer fence must be at least 7.5 to 8 feet tall to prevent deer from jumping over it. While white-tailed deer can jump exceptionally high, they have poor depth perception and will generally not attempt to jump an 8-foot fence unless they are cornered.
Our black polypropylene mesh fencing is designed to be low-visibility. When mounted against a backdrop of trees, shrubs, or woodlands, the black mesh dissolves into the shadows, making the fence line virtually invisible from just 20 feet away.
No. Our fences are designed with a mesh size (typically 2-by-2 inches) that allows small woodland animals like rabbits, squirrels, and birds to pass through freely while blocking deer. We also install monofilament flags on new fences to alert deer to the new barrier.
Pricing depends on linear footage, terrain slope, gate count, and ground clearing needs. Larger fenced perimeters and longer runs around naturalized property edges are quoted per project. We provide a firm estimate after reviewing the property.
